Locked to ???
Mar. 29th, 2017 10:03 pmShizuo had not given into the juvenile tendency to count the days since they had been apart. He was not going to dwell endlessly on her and instead reined in his focus on present matters living day to day. It made the few weeks apart easier to bear when the weeks did not seem to pile on so, except the phone calls at odd hours to remind him of what he missed.
Then he gets a different kind of call. She’s coming back and wants to met him. While he was able to maintain some semblance of maturity in Verona’s absence, the news she’s heading back makes him giddy. An unnerving sight to those who know him and hard to swallow back when the days closes in.
What’s odd is how she wants to meet. In person is obvious, it’s where; not the tried and true Russia Sushi or other haunts. It’s someplace new and out of the way causing his instincts to sniff out something amiss. The other part, as she put herself, is she’s different. Not that different, but to being expecting something different.
He’s clueless, but there’s nothing that could be so drastic that it needs a forewarning right?
It’s a restaurant tucked away that is on the up and up. Even in the dimming light of the day, his shades remain and his hands make their home in his pockets as he surveys about for the familiar head of blonde hair. Shouldn’t be hard to find, but it somehow is among the small crowd and few tucked away tables.
